Every October, Amsterdam transforms for five days into the epicenter of the electronic music world, and 2026 will be extra special: Amsterdam Dance Event celebrates its 30th anniversary. What began in 1996 as a small industry conference has grown into the world's largest club festival. When is ADE 2026?
ADE 2026 will take place from Wednesday, October 21 to Sunday, October 25, spread across hundreds of locations in Amsterdam. The daytime program, ADE Pro (the industry conference for music professionals), runs from October 21 to 24, while the club nights and parties continue all five evenings and nights.
ADE in numbers: How big is it really?
The scale of ADE is unprecedented for a city like Amsterdam. This anniversary year, more than 200 stages and 3,300 artists are expected, spread across over 300 locations: from large industrial halls to small, underground clubs. A total of around 400,000 visitors from more than 90 countries are expected — making ADE not only the largest dance event in the world but also one of Amsterdam's biggest tourist attractions in October.

As every year, ADE's full line-up will be revealed step by step in the weeks leading up to the festival. Where do the parties take place?
Unlike a festival with a single site, ADE takes place all over the city. A few regular hotspots return year after year: Westergasfabriek, the former industrial complex in West that hosts multiple stages and line-ups during ADE, and De School, known for its underground sound and 24-hour parties. Since the locations are spread out, it's smart to plan your evenings by city district instead of traveling crisscrossing the city between sets.
How to get tickets?
ADE itself does not sell an overarching festival ticket — each party has its own, separate ticket sales, and popular shows often sell out quickly.
